Lord's Reciprocation His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad
মূকং করোতি বাচালং পঙ্গুং লঙ্ঘয়তে গিরিম্ ।
mukam karoti vachalam pangum langhayate girim "The dumb can speak, the lame can climb a hill—all it takes is mercy from Gurudev." (Bhavartha Dipika)
ওঁ অজ্ঞানতিমিরান্ধস্য জ্ঞানাঞ্জনশলাকয়া ।
om ajnana-timirandhasya jnananjana-salakaya 'I offer my obeisance unto Sri Gurudev, who has opened my eyes, which were blinded by the darkness of ignorance, applying the kajal of divine knowledge on my eyes.'
গুর্ব্বাভীষ্টসুপূরকং গুরুগণৈরাশীষসংভূষিতং
gurvvabhista-supurakam guru-ganair asisa-sambhusitam I offer my obeisance unto he who perfectly fulfils his Gurudev's most cherished desires; who is fully adorned with the blessings of his Gurudev’s associates; who is expert in all aspects of Vedic knowledge, both conceivable and inconceivable; who is the pre-eminent follower of Srila Rupa Goswami Prabhu's line; who is known as 'Govinda'—Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj; whose beautiful, effulgent, exalted form is infused with pure devotion; who is the Guru of the entire universe; and who is the giver of the seed of divine love for the Supreme Lord. We are again very fortunate this morning because we have got a chance today to get some good association, to chant the Holy Name with the devotees,
সাধুসঙ্গে কৃষ্ণনামে—এই মাত্র চাই ।
sadhu-sange krsna-nama—ei matra chai I desire only to chant the Name of Krishna in the association of the sadhus. There is no other way to conquer samsara. (Sri Sri Prema-vivarta, 6.13) Our fortune is to take Krishna Name in the association of the sadhus. That is our life. Other than sadhu-sanga and Krishna Nam there is nothing in this life. Krishna also said, "I always stay wherever there is the chanting of My Holy Name, wherever there is good association (sadhu-sanga)."
ভক্তের জিনিষ প্রভু লুটিপুটি খায়
bhakter jinish prabhu lutiputi khay "Prabhu (Krishna, Bhagavan, the Lord) always accept devotees' things, always accepts anything in devotees' association." You know that Krishna did not accept Duryodhan's raj bhog (gorgeous offering), but when He went to Vidura's house, He took some banana skin from Vidura's wife. Vidura's wife sent some food for Krishna, but she felt so much ecstasy that she forgot to give banana, instead she gave banana skin to Krishna—and Krishna happily took it. But He never takes anything from nondevotees because nondevotees give something to Krishna with some other desires: they give Krishna something and ask Him for something in lieu of that. "Bhaktera hrdaye sada govinda-visrama (ভক্তের হৃদয়ে সদা গোবিন্দ-বিশ্রাম)": Krishna always stays in the heart of devotees, and He Himself always says, "I always stay in their hearts, and they also always stay in My heart." That is why we must serve the devotees...
