Exclusive Remedy for Sins His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad
Think how many hours of your time you spend on service of the Lord, how many hours you do service. We always commit some sin in our life... What did Srila Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj say? He says we are alive, but how many jiva souls do we kill every day to stay alive? Lakhs and lakhs. When we breathe, so many living entities come inside us; when we drink water, we also kill so many bacteria, so many jivatmas, so many living entities. When you eat rice, when you eat chapati, you have to cut plants, cut wheat; you eat cabbage, cauliflower, etc., and you kill all kinds of trees. Even when you drink milk, you do not kill the cow, but the cow eats grass, and there is life in grass too—grass too feels pain. So, how many jiva souls do you kill every day! What is the remedy for such sinful actions? If your life is for the service to the Lord, for the service to your Guru, if you have no other desires (anyabhilasita), then whatever you do, even if you kill people, even if you steal—if it is for the service for the Lord—then it is OK. I told a few days at the lecture—suppose you have no flowers growing in your garden, but you see there are flowers in somebody else's garden. You can go in the morning, at 4 a.m., and while they are sleeping you can steal some flowers and give them to your Guru, to the Lord. What is the problem? That is called "sarva-dharman parityajya, mam ekam saranam vraja—give us all religions and surrender to Me alone." It is all in Srimad Bhagavad-gita. It is said there, "Give up all religions." Arjuna said to Krishna, "I have become Your disciple," then Krishna said to him in the end, "Sarva-dharman parityajya... Whatever sin you commit, I will give relief to you, I will set you free." This is the main point.
সর্ব্বধর্ম্মান্ পরিত্যজ্য মামেকং শরণং ব্রজ ।
sarva-dharman parityajya, mam ekam saranam vraja "Give up all kinds of religion and surrender to Me alone. I will liberate you from all sins, do not despair." (Srimad Bhagavad-gita, 18.66) Ultimately, you must have faith:
'শ্রদ্ধা' শব্দে—বিস্বাস কহে সুদৃঢ় নিশ্চয় ।
'sraddha'-sabde—visvasa kahe sudrdha nischaya "Sraddha is firm, determined faith that by service to Krishna all actions are accomplished." (Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita, Madhya-lila, 22.62)
