Capturing Lord's Heart

His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad
Srila Bhakti Nirmal Acharya Maharaj
Sri Ekachakra Dham, evening class
5 February 2020, part 6
Translated from Bengali

Krishna is so merciful. You cannot understand it...

Krishna loves gopis so much. When He was just three-seven days old, Putana came to kill Krishna, and He knew that—He knew perfectly well that she had come to kill Him, and this is not just a murder—it is a murder of a baby, which is even a greater crime. Uddhav Maharaj said that Krishna had suddenly become overwhelmed. Why? Because He saw Putana coming dressed as a gopi(!)—even though she was fake, she came wearing gopis' clothes, she came behaving like a gopi. So, even though Krishna knew she was fake, even though He knew she was coming to kill Him, when He saw her dressed as a gopi, He became so captivated that He let the demoness Putana take the place of His mother—He let her sit on His mother's holy seat and drank her breast milk!

As Krishna drank her milk, Putana left her body. Krishna grasped her so tight that Putana started screaming, "Leave me! Let me go! Enough! Stop it!" But Krishna thought to Himself, "I do not grab hold of anyone so easily, but when I do catch someone, I do not let them go!" In other words, Krishna is saying, "I do not give My mercy to anyone so easily, but when I do give My mercy to someone, I do not leave them."

When Krishna grabbed hold of Putana, He did not want to massacre the house, so He took Putana a little far from the house—there, Putana left her body, and her real form of a demoness came out.

Now, someone can ask, "What is the proof that Krishna bestowed His mercy on her?" Because her demoness body was enormous and it was impossible to cremate it, Vraja-basis chopped her body into small pieces and burnt it in several pyres. When Putana's body was burning, the whole Goloka, Mahavan, the entire Vrindavan Dham became filled with the auspicious smell of camphor and sandalwood. Then you can understand it from that. Do our bodies smell of sandalwood when they are being burnt? They are not, but Putana's body became holy:

diksa-kale bhakta kare atma-samarpana
sei kale krsna tare kare atma-sama
sei deha kare tara chid-anandamaya
aprakrta-dehe tanra charana bhajaya

"At the time of initiation, when devotees submit themselves to the Lord, Krishna accepts them as His very own and transforms their bodies into transcendental bodies, with which they then serve the lotus feet of the Lord."

(Sri Chaitanya-charitamrta, Antya-lila, 4.192-193)

Krishna is very merciful. If you can do just some small service to Him with heart and soul, you can capture the Lord...

Sri Vyasa Puja Offering
'That day, in the heart of Gaura-desh, morning, noon, and evening as if merged and there sounded a stupefying song of flute. On this auspicious day, a ray of light fell from the sky. In the district of brahmans, in the house of a brahman, for the sake of jiva souls there took birth an unprecedentedly beautiful child.'

Krsna haite chatur-mukha
'The follower of Srila Gaura Kisor Das Babaji, the great soul Dayita Das (Srila Saraswati Thakur), whose wealth is Sri Krsna-kirtan, fulfilled the desires of the whole world. He is the dearmost of Sri Varsabhanavi and is always engaged in Her service.'

When Radharani's Name always comes to somebody's mouth, it is not serious
because it is not so easy to take Her Name.
