I am very happy to see you all. By the mercy of Gurudev, we are all here today, assembled for the weekly class or conference with the devotees. I see that almost all the devotees are there and they are very happy. Also, I got some bad news from Brazil, São Paulo, that the devotees there are very much afraid because there are so many coronavirus attacks in Brazil...

I am very happy that all devotees have joined the class today. Actually, the main thing for us is how we should maintain our practising life. Day after day are passing, days are going—we must use every moment and all our sources for the service of the Lord, for the service to our Gurudev. If we can practise properly under Gurudev's guidance, then we must get to our real home. This is the main thing. It is necessary to have faith in that. It is necessary to have faith that everything must be always used for the service of the Lord.

Our main mantra is this: we must concentrate our mind, all our senses, our everything in one place—at the lotus feet of Srila Gurudev. Srila Gurudev is our only hope, we have no other way. Only Sri Gurudev can take us to the Lord and engage us in the service of the Lord. We must have a greatest desire for that, then one day we will get an opportunity to engage in service because our Gurudev always tries to engage everybody in the service of the Lord. These are the main things.

The problem is that we cannot leave our previous karma, previously acquired nature (arjapat)—we cannot surrender to the Lord properly, fully. We lack surrender (saranagati). Saranagati is the main thing. When you surrender to the Lord or Gurudev properly, then it becomes their duty to take us to the Lord. If we want to defend ourselves, it is not good—do not be always a defender, always surrender. It is necessary to have the mood of surrender because the mood of surrender can take us to the proper place. After you surrender properly, you do not have any duty anymore; our only duty is to surrender and to follow whatever instruction our Gurudev and guru-varga give, to follow whatever they say—after that it is their duty to decide what they will do with us. Surrender is the most important thing.

'শ্রদ্ধা' শব্দে—বিস্বাস কহে সুদৃঢ় নিশ্চয় ।
কৃষ্ণে ভক্তি কৈলে সর্ব্বকর্ম্ম কৃত হয় ॥

'sraddha'-sabde—visvasa kahe sudrdha nischaya
krsne bhakti kaile sarva-karma krta haya

"Sraddha is a firm, determined faith that by service to Krishna all actions are accomplished."

(Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita, Madhya-lila, 22.62)

Su-drdha means the greatest faith; it means we surrender to the Lord, surrender to Gurudev, and Gurudev, who is the nearest friend of the Lord, will take me to the Lord—then we can avoid coming and going, birth and death.

This is how we should practise Krishna consciousness properly.
