(4/5) 'I Want Your Love' His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad
We must make sacrifice in our life. In this life, if you do not give something, how can you get something? You must give something if you want to get something; otherwise, you will not get anything. What must you give? Not money and wealth. The Lord says, 'I do not want money. I do not want your paisas, rupees, your house or your home. I want love and affection from you.' You have this house, this room, but what is home? It is not some bricks and stone. If there is nobody dear or close to you in the house, will you like staying in this house even a moment? A home is not a place of bricks and stone – a home is where those who are dear and close to you are; otherwise, it is not a home, it is a prison. When you stay somewhere and somebody always attacks you, disturbs you, you will feel pain staying there – this is not home. You should think about the Lord in the same way. We have come to this world and have got these eyes and everything else from and for the Lord. Doctors say, 'We save people!' but if a dead body comes to doctors, can they save that dead person? You can give them everything – all your money, your house, everything – but can they save a dead person? Scientists are spending millions to discover a vaccine against coronavirus, but can they create a single grain of wheat? Who is capable of giving life to a grain of wheat? They are not. Life comes from life. They say that life comes from death (dead matter, unconscious substance), but this is not so – life comes from life. We have got this life, and when our soul leaves this body, it will get another body. Scientifically speaking, a biological body is created when sperm is combined with egg. When they asked me about my father for passport or some legal documents, I told them that my father is Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj – they asked me, 'Do you have a biological father?' I said, 'Yes, he is my father.' So, there is such a thing as a biological father and mother who give you a body, but they do not give you that which you are. If they produced that which I am, they would be able to keep me at home, but they cannot do that – He who has given me life will take me away one day. The Lord gives the soul, and when the time comes, He will take me away. If my parents created me, they would be able to stop it. Therefore, first you must ask yourself, 'Who am I?' 'I am so-and-so Goldar', 'I am so-and-so Biswas', 'I am so-and-so Haldar'. This is not who I am! I am an eternal servant of Lord Krishna! This is what we forget. Even trees have life. You can see that when Tulasi leaves her body, the tree dries up. Even mosquitoes and moths have life. Do you know the size of the soul? If you take a tip of a hair and divide it ten thousand times, this is the size of the soul. It is impossible to see it, but it is possible to feel it. I am moving and making various actions because there is something inside me that steers me, and once it leaves this body, the body will just lie down, lifeless. Why are we not able to understand our own identity?
মায়ারে করিয়া জয় ছাড়ান না যায় ।
mayare kariya jaya chhadana na yaya 'You cannot conquer illusory environment and become released from it. I see no other way to get relief except by the mercy of saints and the guru.' (Prarthana, Srila Narottam Das Thakur)
