On the mala, there is a sumeru bead (on top), and to the both sides of it there are big-size beads and small-size beads. Start from the big beads.

First, you will ask mercy from

শ্রীকৃষ্ণচৈতন্য প্রভু নিত্যানন্দ ।
শ্রীঅদ্বৈত গদাধর শ্রীবাসাদি গৌরভক্তবৃন্দ ॥

sri advaita gadadhara srivasadi gaura bhakta-vrinda

This is Pancha-tattva's name. First ask for their mercy—they brought this Holy Name to this abode, and we are fallen souls, we cannot chant this Name without their mercy. You must pray to them, "Please give me some mercy so I can chant this Holy Name." Then, starting from the big beads chant,

হরে কৃষ্ণ হরে কৃষ্ণ কৃষ্ণ কৃষ্ণ হরে হরে ।
হরে রাম হরে রাম রাম রাম হরে হরে ॥

hare rama hare rama rama rama hare hare

Chant this Holy Name on each bead, one by one, from the big beads to the small beads, then turn the mala, and from the small beads to the big beads. Do not cross the sumeru bead. Every day chant in this way sixteen rounds or more. You do not have to chant all sixteen rounds at a time—for example, you can chant three rounds, later maybe five rounds more, etc. Chant sixteen rounds a day or more, it is good for you. If some day you are busy with your service, you can chant less but four rounds must be chanted—not less than four rounds.

You must chant without offences. There is a book about the ten offence. You must read this book and try to avoid these offences. If you chant this Holy Name constantly and without offence, you will get result quickly, as soon as possible and Krishna will reveal in your heart, you will be successful in your spiritual life.
