Service Encouragement

I am very happy to see you all, your smiling faces. Gurudev is always with you all. You always follow Gurudev's instruction, going in Gurudev's line, and even if any obstacle or bad element may come, or you somehow unfortunately may make some offence, Krishna will remove it because you listen to your Guru, you follow your Gurudev's order and advice.

Actually, when some obstacles come in the devotees' spiritual life, it is Krishna testing them, "How much affection do you have? How much attachment do you have for your service? How much attachment do you have for your Guru?" If some obstacle comes to you, or you face some difficulty, do not be discouraged—Krishna is testing you.

Chant the Holy Name, serve the Vaishnavs. Gurudev told me directly, "If you can make your Guru happy, if you can make great Vaishnavs happy, Krishna will come and serve you." So, if you please your Guru with your service, then you can understand—the feeling should come in your heart—that because you are fulfilling the desire of your Guru, Krishna will come and serve you.

Actually, in this world so many people (karmi people, Krishna-bahirmukh people) are enjoying, busy with their own selves, they have no time to spare for Krishna, for the Guru—but you must give time to Krishna. You should have sincere attachment to your Gurudev. Ask yourself, do you love yourself or do you love your Guru? Who do you love more, yourself or your Guru?

You should give more time to your Guru, you should give more time to the service of your Guru—that is necessary for your practising life.

When a poor man earns some money, he does not spend all the money he earns. He keeps something aside in case he becomes sick or has some other problem. In the same way, you have got some time and you are always busy with your family, but you must keep some time for your Guru's service!

Gurudev is always with you all. If you have even a little desire to serve the Guru, the Guru will come and take service from you—Krishna will come and take service from you. The Lord always searches, always hankers and desires to take service from the devotees.

We must surrender fully. You heard how Vamandev had taken everything from Bali Maharaj, but even then Vamandev said, "You think you have given Me everything, but you still have something that you have not given to Me." Then Bali Maharaj's wife, Vindhyavali, said, "Oh, you think you have given everything, but you have not given yourself!" So, we must give ourselves for service to the Lord...
