Devotee: I do not want to leave Nabadwip, I want to stay here, but there is the family and all the so called responsibilities, and I do not understand how to arrange it...

The problem is that you want to leave the blanket, but the blanket does not leave you. Do you know this story? Param Guru Maharaj, Srila Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj told it.

One black bear fell down into the Ganges and began to sink—he tried hard to swim out but the current was too strong. A man saw something black in the river and thought it was a blanket floating there, so he jumped in to get it. When he jumped in, the bear caught him. The man wanted to live and tried to get out, he shouted, "I do not want the blanket, I do not want the blanket, I want to go!"—he wants to leave the blanket but the blanket does not want to leave him.

That is maya—you want to leave maya, but maya does not want to leave you. That is the problem.

মায়ারে করিয়া জয় ছাড়ান না যায় ।
সাধুর-গুরুর কৃপা বিনা না দেখি উপায় ॥

mayare kariya jaya chhadana na yaya,
sadhur-gurur krpa vina na dekhi upaya,

You cannot conquer maya on your own, only when you get mercy of the sadhu, the Guru, can maya be conquered...
