When we were at the Radha Kanta Math, I told you about Sachi Devi, about Ganga Mata Goswamini—you have heard it, have you not? Also, there was brahma-jnani Sarvabhauma Bhattacharya. Mahaprabhu saved him, used him for the service of Govinda.

Sarvabhauma Bhattacharya had a very big job at Jagannath temple, but he did not take Jagannath prasad.

Devotee (surprised): Sarvabhauma Bhattacharya did not take prasad?

No, he did not. He did not have devotion for prasad, did not have taste for prasad. He arranged everything at the temple, but he himself ate at his home.

Mahaprabhu thought, "It is necessary to give him taste of prasad. If he does not take it, how will he understand how wonderful prasad is?" So, one day Mahaprabhu came to Sarvabhauma Bhattacharya after mangal arati with some prasad. Coming to his house, Mahaprabhu shouted,

"Sarvabhauma! Are you at home?"

Sarvabhauma Bhattacharya was in bed, sleeping, at that time. Hearing Mahaprabhu's voice, he quickly arose.

"Sarvabhauma, wake up!" shouted Mahaprabhu.

"Yes, yes... You have come so early?"

"Yes, I have brought some Jagannath prasad for you!"

"Prabhu, I have not brushed my teeth yet I have not washed my face, how shall I take prasad?" asked Sarvabhauma.

Mahaprabhu said, "If you take Jagannath prasad, it is not necessary wash your mouth or brush your teeth!"

"Oh?"

"Yes, take this prasad!"

When Sarvabhauma Bhattacharya took that prasad, he thought, "Oh, this is so sweet! So nice!" From that day he got the taste for maha-prasad.
