So, we have now arrived in Vrindavan. By the mercy of Sri Gurupadpadma, we
have done today the pancha-kroshi parikrama [five
krosh is about ten miles or fifteen kilometres]. In total, there are over
five thousand temples in Vrindavan, and when we do this parikrama, we
get the chance to circumambulate them all. Tomorrow early in the morning, we
will be leaving early. We will go to several main temples.
Actually, we have no capacity to have the darshan of these places:
অন্ধীভূত চক্ষু যার বিষয ধূলিতে ।
কেমনে সে পাইবে পরতত্ত্ব দেখিতে ॥
andhibhuta chaksu yara visaya dhulite
kemane se paibe para-tattva dekhite
‘My eyes are blind with the dust of visaya, the material world – how can I
see the transcendental world?’
We have no eyes to see the transcendental form of all these holy places. But
if we can keep listening to Hari-katha, keep practising spiritual life
and kirtan, if we can keep chanting the Holy Name of Lord Krishna,
then one day our hearts' eyes will open – only then will we be able to
understand and have the darshan of our guru, of Vaishnavs and
of the Lord.
Who can know the guru? If the guru lets his devotee or disciple
know himself, then only the person can understand their guru.
Otherwise, we see that gurudev goes to the bathroom just like us, he
eats just like us, he sleeps just like us, so we think that he is like us –
because of such external vision we cannot have the true darshan of the
guru (we cannot see him with our internal eyes). We have eyes in our
hearts, and until our hearts become clean – if there is dirt, garbage and
offences to Vaishnavs and the Holy Name in our hearts – we will never be able
to have the darshan of the Lord, neither will we ever be able to
understand our guru and Vaishnavs. This is the main thing we must
realise
You are doing Sri Dham parikrama, but what you see is the great
buildings. Do you actually see the transcendental abode? If Maya Devi frees
our eyes and mercifully allows us to have divine vision, then we will be able
to behold transcendental abode and its paraphernalia. That is why the main
thing when we do parikrama is kirtan. If we can chant
kirtan and thereby clean our hearts – if our hearts and minds become
pure by serving the Lord and His devotees – then we can attain everything.
'Chhadiya vaisnava-seva nistara payechhe keba (ছাড়িয়া বৈষ্ণব-সেবা
নিস্তার পায়েছে কেবা): Without service to Vaishnavs, you cannot get any
relief.' Do you know anybody who has got relief without
vaishnav-seva?
We must always try to open our hearts' eyes. I am praying to you all: please
never compare this holy abode to the soil, wood, bricks or buildings of this
world. Never compare your guru or Vaishnavs to bodies of blood and
flesh. If you do, it will be an offence: an offence to the Holy Name, to the
holy abode, to service and to Vaishnavs.

Sanatan-siksa:
'You Are Mine!'
|
|
'You will start the service to Krishna in Vrindavan and preach to others what
the Vaishnav etiquette is. This is your duty—I am giving you this
service. Then Mahaprabhu put His hand on Sanatan's head and blessed him, 'It
will all be revealed to you.''
