Does anybody have any questions? If any of you have questions, you can ask me. Is there anything you cannot understand? Is there anything you want to know? Why should you practise Krishna consciousness, and why will you not practise Krishna consciousness? Why will you not call out to the Lord? What is the problem if you call out to the Lord? What is the problem if you chant the Holy Name of the Lord, if you take initiation, and if you think about the Lord? The problem is that you will not be able to eat fish and meat.

If you eat fish and meat, it is an offence. We have leaflets printed that explain the harm of eating fish and meat. Take these leaflets with you and read them at home. Eating meat causes stroke, heart disease, cancer, liver problems and many other bad health issues. Eating fish, meat, etc. is the root cause. We have written here also what Islam, Christianity, Buddhism say about vegetarianism.

Because people fall ill and fear diseases, they open many hospitals and invent many kinds of medicine. Just recently Mamata opened a super speciality hospital. There are so many hospitals, so many pharmacies in the world, but can anybody stop diseases and deaths? Even if they find a cure for one disease today, tomorrow another disease will come. If they will operate you today, five–ten years later you will need another operation. Do you think that anybody can put a stop to your diseases? There are pharmacies and hospitals on every corner of the street, but does that decrease people's diseases? The more pharmacies you open, the more people will throng there. One time, I needed to go to a pharmacy in Uluberia. When I came to the place, I could not even enter the shop because there were so many people in it. I sat in the car in front of it and started to call out to the Lord, 'O Lord! People are so sick...' Of course they will get sick because they do not want to call out to the Lord, they only always think about themselves, they are always busy making plans, 'I will do this', 'I will do that.' Identifying themselves with their bodies, people always think, 'I will wear nice clothes, eat nice food and sleep on a nice bed.' When it comes to such people, the Lord also says, 'I have sent you to this world to listen about Me, to speak about Me, to think about Me, to chant My Name, but you are only thinking about your body! You only think about how to eat well, how to dress well and how to keep your health. You do not even think about Me!' (Our bodies were given to us by our parents, but our parents did not give us that which we are, that is our souls.)

The Holy Name is the food for the soul. The food that you take in this world is food for the body only. You can see that if you fast for one day on ekadasi, you will lose one or two kilograms of weight. Why? Because we eat less and do not eat many things on ekadasi. You can check this yourselves, I am not exaggerating. So, rice, dal and vegetables are food for the body. Scientists like to say that we are these bodies and they also say that when you eat something, it is absorbed by the body. So, if you think that you are this body, then when you eat potato, you become a potato! Scientists are silenced.

We are not these bodies! Our bodies are composed of earth, water, fire, air, ether. When these bodies are burnt, they turn into ash (or when they are buried, as Muslims do, they decay and five years later there will be only bones left) – the remains get mixed with the soil, from that soil some grass will grow, then, after getting mixed with air and water, eventually another body will be created. This is how one body is created from another body. That is why it is said that if you eat meat, you actually eat your own body.
