Run After Devotion, Not Visaya

You struggle your whole life earning money, saving money, etc. You always run behind money, but when you die, you will leave everything and go to the cremation ghat...

Question: When I chant, my mind goes here and there, how can I chant then?

It is the mind's duty to go here, there, everywhere, but if you chant the Holy Name loudly, then your mind will not go outside so much.

Mahaprabhu told,

কৃষ্ণ যদি ছুটে ভক্তে ভুক্তি মুক্তি দিয়া ।
কভু ভক্তি না দেন রাখেন লুকাইয়া ॥

krsna yadi chhute bhakte bhukti mukti diya
kabhu prema-bhakti na dena rakhena lukaiya

"If you ask Krishna for anything except devotion, He can give you those things—bhukti, mukti, liberation, and so on—but He will hide devotion from you. You will not get devotion."

(Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita, Adi-lila, 8.18)

We say we want devotion, but at the same time we want this, that, we want a house, we want opulence, etc.—Krishna will give you that and Krishna will remove devotion from you.

Gurudev told one example. Suppose there is one college teacher who has a two-year old son. One morning, he is going to college to teach, and his son suddenly starts crying so much, "Oh, I want to go with my father! I want to go with my father1" The father thinks, "What am I going to do now? I have to go to the college"—and he gives him a chocolate or a toy, and the boy forgets about going with his father. In the same way, we worship the Lord, but if in lieu of that we ask for a house, a car, etc., Krishna will give everything to you, "Here, take it!" but you will not get pure devotion.
