Peculiarity of Lord's Pastimes His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad
What I am writing here in Guidance, Volume Four, is that I am comparing Nanda Maharaj and Yasoda's love and affection with Vasudev. Vasudev-Krishna and Nanda-nandan Krishna are different. Vasudev Krishna comes in His four-armed form, holding a conch, disk, club, and lotus; and Nanda Maharaj's Krishna plays the flute, playing with cows, etc. There is so much difference between then, I am also writing here something about Lord Ramachandra. Some say that Krishna and Ramachandra are the same. On the one hand, they are because, as I have told you earlier, there are ten avatars of the Lord, and Lord Ramachandra is one of Them. There are many incarnations—Narayan, Ramachandra, Vamanadev, Balaram, and others, but Krishna is the full Supreme Personality of Godhead. However, Gaura-lila is even higher—there is even more love and affection in it than in Krishna-lila. In Krishna-lila, Krishna kills so many asuras, but in Gaura-lila, Gauranga Mahaprabhu, Krishna Himself, comes as a devotee and He turns others into devotees—He makes asuras devotees. That is the difference. In this age, it is not necessary to kill anyone and send them to Goloka—the Lord gives His mercy, His love and affection to all the gundas, all the bad people, and when all the asuras get so much mercy from Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and His associates, they become devotees and His followers. Such is the peculiarity of Krishna-lila and Gaura-lila. Tomorrow is dasami, the next day is ekadasi, and the day after that is Srila Gurudev's disappearance. It is not necessary to make a very big festival—cook for Gurudev what he likes, offer the bhoga to him, give some good flower to his photograph, that is sufficient. Also, in the evening, we can talk about Gurudev and his pastimes. Jay Srila Guru Maharaj ki jay. Actually, I have read Ramayan, I know Ramachandra's story, but I am telling you that which is the main point, I am telling you the gist point... [His Divine Grace then sings "Sri Guru-charana-padma" and Dasa-avatara Stotram concluding thus the class.]
