There are so many pastimes of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Nityananda Prabhu that happened, but, although we live in this country, we do not understand anything, but people come from abroad and crave for it so much. We do not know the Lord—the Lord appears in this very country, Krishna came to Bharata-bhumi (India), Mahaprabhu also came, but we cannot understand anything... If we do not practise it ourselves, there is no other way and there will be no other way to know Him.

Think about it. How much devotees at Srivas Pandit's house gave to Mahaprabhu...

One time, Mahaprabhu came to Srivas Pandit's house, and after some kirtan He said, "We are doing kirtan today, but we are not getting happiness, we are not feeling any joy or pleasure... Why, Srivas? Has something happened in your house?" Srivas Pandit replied, "Prabhu, my only son has died today. I did not tell You because then You would stop the kirtan, Your kirtan would be disturbed."

Internally, at heart, Mahaprabhu was very pleased to hear it, but outside He was a little bit angry. Mahaprabhu scolded Srivas Pandit, "Your son has died? Why did you not tell Me?!" Then, He went to the son of Srivas Pandit and said, "My son! Why have you left us? Where you are going?" and the dead boy spoke, "For a few days I have had some connection with You, I stayed here with Srivas Pandit, but now You are calling me, and I am going there." In other words, you have connection with the Lord here and you will stay here for as long as that connection lasts, and when the Lord calls you, you will go to Him. But, "Kothay chhilam, hetay elam, kothay yabo bhavi nai (কোথায় ছিলাম, হেথায় এলাম, কোথায় যাব ভাবি নাই): where I was, where I came, where I will go—I do not know." We can never say or think where we will have to go...
