মূকং করোতি বাচালং পঙ্গুং লঙ্ঘয়তে গিরিম্ ।
যৎকৃপা তমহং বন্দে শ্রীগুরুং দীনতারণম্ ॥

mukam karoti vachalam pangum langhayate girim
yat krpa tam aham vande sri-gurum dina-taranam

"The dumb can speak, the lame can climb a hill—all it takes is mercy from Gurudev."

First of all, I am offering my full obeisance at the lotus feet of Om Vishnupad Jagad Guru Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj, begging him for his causeless mercy, after that I am offering my obeisance to all Guru-varga, all the worldwide acharyas, to all my God-brothers and sisters, to all devotees, listeners, and all of you praying for your mercy to this low soul.

Today is a very auspicious day, the eve (adhivas-tithi) of our Sri Nabadwip Dham parikrama. Please, everybody, say,

হরে কৃষ্ণ হরে কৃষ্ণ কৃষ্ণ কৃষ্ণ হরে হরে ।
হরে রাম হরে রাম রাম রাম হরে হরে ॥

You must say it from your heart. [Some noise.] Please do not speak during the class. There are no other talks except for Hare Krishna. Have I not told you before? I say Hare Krishna, and you say Hare Krishna—it is not like this. If you teach a parrot to say 'Hare Krishna,' it will also say 'Hare Krishna.' If you teach the parrot to say, 'Get up!', 'Sit down!' it will also say it—but if some cat catches this parrot, will it then say 'Hare Krishna'? It will not, it will make its parrot noise. Our state is also like this. Guru Maharaj said that many people say 'Hare Krishna,' but if you kick them in their stomach, they will cry, 'Mother!', 'Father!' It is necessary to say 'Hare Krishna' from your heart.

The Name of Krishna is so sweet. Always remember what I am telling you. When you lose appetite, you become worried, but when you chant the Holy Name less, it should worry you even more. Still, we do not want to chant the Holy Name. If we chant this Holy Name, we will not have to live amidst all this birth, death, old age and disease, we will not have to keep coming and going to this world. You can understand yourself how painful this life is. If you simply have no water or light in your room, it gives you so much problem—you cannot use the bathroom, toilet properly, etc. but all the trees, plants, insects, beasts and birds that exist in this world suffer so much in their life. Having suffered in all those species we have now received this promotion—we have attained a human birth. We had got this human birth before too, this is not our first time. In our previous human births we ate dogs, cats, frogs, snakes, etc. Such people exist in this world too—there are such people in China, Japan, etc. We always think about our body, but sadhus, gurus, Vaishnavs take so much trouble to bring you to this path...
