Sacred Chamber of Devotional Mood

His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad
Srila Bhakti Nirmal Acharya Maharaj
Kolkata-Worldwide, 31 May 2020, part 2

Nityananda Prabhu gives His mercy even to those who criticise Him, who beat Him, He does not have any consideration—He always bestows His mercy all over the world. Srila Gurudev also, just like Nityananda Prabhu, distributes the highest things all over the world. He gives us the highest conception of Sri Rupanuga sampradaya, of our Guru Maharaj, Srila Prabhupad, and Srila Bhaktivinod Thakur. What he has given us is crucial for us.

We must remember this and practise what Gurudev has given us in every life, at every minute, at every moment. This is the main thing. We will not be alive forever in this world, we must try until our death to do some service for Srila Gurudev, Srila Guru Maharaj and their mission. This is our vision, this is our main view. We should do that.

I have seen how much austerity Srila Rupa Goswami, Srila Sanatan Goswami went through in Vrindavan. Mahaprabhu had sent Srila Rupa Goswami and Srila Sanatan Goswami there to fulfil His desire, and Srila Sanatan Goswami, Srila Rupa Goswami, Srila Raghunath Das Goswami, Srila Jiva Goswami, everyone succeeded. They were all finally victorious—they fulfilled Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's desire. In the same way, our Srila Gurudev also fulfilled his Guru Maharaj's desire. I do not know how much I can do, but I am also trying to fulfil Gurudev's desire as his unqualified disciple.

I am not qualified, but my only qualification is that I hope and pray that Gurudev may keep me at his lotus feet as his servant, as his dog. He is still keeping me, and I pray to him, "Gurudev, may my mind, my heart never go to any other place without you." I always think about Gurudev and always pray for that. I feel it is necessary for me to always think about it. I always pray that wherever I may be living, be it in Nrisingha Palli, Kolkata, Ganga Sagar, Tarakeshwar, Bakura, Ekachakra, Puri, Vrindavan, be it even in a jungle, forest, or a hill—this is not a question for me; wherever I may be living, I am always alert that my mood, my service mood may not deviate from Gurudev. This is what I always think about. I always think, "How shall I make him happy?" This is my intention.

Gurudev never died. Gurudev is always with us, and we should try to make him happy. Some may think, "Oh, Gurudev has expired, how are we to fulfil his desire?" This is not correct. Wherever Gurudev lives, he is always in his nitya-lila (eternal pastimes), he is always in Goloka Vrindavan, always with Lord Krishna—and he can see everything. He is observing everything, and he always tests us to see how much humility, tolerance, and ability to give honour to others we have. Gurudev always tests us to see how much we can give for him.

You know, when a country's soldiers join the military life, they promise that they will give their life for the country. In the same way, when we join Krishna consciousness, we must promise that we will give our life for Krishna, that we will give our life for the Lord, for Gurudev. This life is not for others—this life is not for my parents, not for my sister, not for my daughter, not for my husband, not for my wife! This life is for Gurudev. This body is for Gurudev. This heart is for Gurudev. This mind is for Gurudev. This is the main thing.

you do not give water—you plant the devotional seed but do not give
it proper nourishment—one day it will dry.
