…This is the news from here, Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math in Sri Nrisingha Palli, Nabadwip. This is what happened today. All this is only possible by Gurudev’s mercy.

I have seen how Gurudev protected his temple, Srila Sridhar Maharaj’s temple. On the one hand, I am very unfortunate because even though I have tried so hard to protect Gurudev’s mission after Gurudev, I could not do it. On the other hand, at least I could protect Gurudev’s devotees. Also, I heard some news this afternoon that some of those whom Gurudev did not like were not present today at the festival at the mul-math of Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math. So, Gurudev is protecting this mission…

Gurudev made his declaration of the succession on 4 December 2009, and shortly after that he sent me with Srila Ashram Maharaj to Australia. When I left, somebody gave Gurudev a very bad letter, which gave his heart very deep pain. I remember that when I was on my way to Australia, Gurudev phoned me and asked, ‘Where are you now?’ I said I was at the airport in Kuala Lumpur, going to Australia, and Gurudev said, ‘There is a big problem here. I will manage something from here, but you must make your foreign tour shorter. You are scheduled to be away for fifteen days, but you must come back in seven days. Srila Ashram Maharaj can stay there.’ So, I left Australia earlier and went back to India. Once I arrived, I went straight to Nabadwip and came to Gurudev. When I came, Gurudev gave me that letter, and I saw how many bad words they used – they wrote Gurudev very bad and painful words, I cannot even repeat it. After that, Gurudev said, ‘I cannot stay here anymore. I am leaving Nabadwip tomorrow early in the morning.’

The next day Gurudev left, and normally he always went to the Deities and the samadhi-mandir of Srila Sridhar Maharaj to pay his dandavat, but that time he did not even go to the samadhi-mandir. He only stopped for a few seconds at the Centenary Building and said, looking up at Srila Guru Maharaj’s room with folded palms, ‘Guru Maharaj, please protect this mission.’ This is how Gurudev left Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math.

You all know better than me what happened after that. So many things have happened. All foreign devotees, all senior leaders were harassed by them so much. You are giving so much energy, so much money to Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math, but what to speak of giving you any respect, they actually beat you! It is very painful. I stayed there for as long as I could, and I would have tried to stay longer, but those who stayed near me had heard some message that those people were going to kill me, so they forcefully removed me from Nabadwip, saying, ‘You will die if you stay here!’ This is how I left Nabadwip and came to Dum Dum Park…

This is what happened. Srila Gurudev’s mission is still running, and I am very happy about it. All the devotees, all Gurudev’s disciples are with us – you all always keep Gurudev, and me also, in your heart, and Gurudev also keeps you in his heart. I always tell all my disciples who live here that I always want to be a disciple – I do not want and have never wanted to be a guru. If I think that I have become a guru, then ego (abhiman) will come to me. That is why I always want to be a disciple, nothing else. This is my situation.
