Publisher's Note

By their Grace, I bow to the Holy Lotus Feet of Sri Gurudev, the Vaishnavas, and the Supreme Lord Sri Gauranga Mahaprabhu, and all Their Associates.

The first publication of this Sri Chaitanya Saraswati—The Voice of Sri Chaitanyadev was in 1990. It has taken four years to bring out this second edition. With interruptions, it has been about two years in the making. I felt a strong necessity to include the Hindi, Gujarati and Bengali translations in the earlier part of the magazine, prompted by many friends and well-wishers of our Mission. To establish the positive [siddhanta-sthapana] as well as negate the negative [atan-nirasana] are both integral parts of preaching. Until a fitting environment is established for the Unalloyed Prema-dharma of Sri Chaitanyadev to have its free and magnanimous play in the world of today and tomorrow, the true preachers of His Mission often feel the need of negating the negative. Still, they cannot but feel a kind of spiritual vacuum without a sufficiently generous quota of the positive. After all, what Sri Chaitanyadev came down to give in this world is the greatest and most noble gift ever known to mankind and the whole universe. How can an aspirant of becoming a preacher of that glorious gift feel peace of mind without even the most incidental participation in its dispensation? At least the hope of a tiny place on the receiving end of it must be a hope of grace and mercy. And that gift was, and is, eternally most generously distributed to the world by His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Raksak Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj, His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj, and His Divine Grace Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Maharaj, and their illustrious predecessors. The divine dispensation of Srila Govinda Maharaj has already become a worldwide phenomenon, a marvel of direct divine intervention. Srila Sridhar Maharaj's indefatigable and illustrious position in the sampradaya defies our power of intellect, our words’ powers of description. And Srila Swami Maharaj Prabhupad, by the irrevocable fact, is intimately associated with both in such a depth of intimacy—They are parsadas, or eternal intimate associates, of the Supreme Lord Himself. Why should the sincere seekers be denied the chance of receiving Their unalloyed grace?

By Their Grace may this Sri Chaitanya Saraswati bless the hearts of all the good souls who have waited so long for genuine Divine Guidance, and may They and Their Associates by pleased with this offering to Their lotus hands.

My eternal obeisances unto Their lotus feet and unto the lotus feet of all the Bhaktas who helped me and are eternally helping me to invite Sri Saraswati.
