Sri Radhastaka (Verse 1)

(Gitavali, by Srila Bhakti Vinod Thakur)

radhika-charana-padma,sakala sreyera sadma,
yatane ye nahi aradhila
radha-padmankita dhama,vrndavana yara nama,
taha ye na asraya karila [1]

The lotus feet of Sri Radha are the abode of all auspiciousness, the supreme goal of life. One who in his life has failed to take shelter of that holy dhama named Vrindavan which is decorated by the lotus-like Radha,...

radhika-bhava-gambhira,chitta yeba mahadhira
gana-sanga na kaila jivane
kemane se syamananda,rasa-sindhu-snanananda,
labhibe bujhaha eka-mane [2]

...who in his life has failed to associate with the intimate of Sri Radha who are deeply filled with Radha-bhava and who are greatly intelligent—how will such a person bathe in the rasa-sindhu, the ocean of rasa which is Shyamasundara? You must singlemindedly understand this point.

radhika ujjvala-rasera acharya
radha-madhava-suddha-prema vicharya [3]

Sri Radha is the Acharya of ujjvala-rasa. Suddha-prema for Radha-Madhava is what is to be considered and discussed.

ye dharila radha-pada parama yatane
se paila krsna-pada amulya-ratane [4]

One who holds tightly to the lotus feet of Sri Radha with great care will certainly attain the priceless jewels of the lotus feet of Krishna.

radha-pada bina kabhu krsna nahi mile
radhar dasir krsna sarva-bede bole [5]

Without the lotus feet of Sri Radha, one will never meet Krishna. All the Vedas say that Krishna belongs to the maidservants of Sri Radha.

chhodata dhana-jana,kalatra-suta-mita,
chhodata karama geyana
radha-pada-pankaja,madhurata sevana,
bhakativinoda paramana [6]

Having given up wealth, followers, wife, children, family, and friends, karmma and jnana, one should become absorbed in the divine sweetness of service to the lotus feet of Sri Radha as one of Her maidservants in madhura-rasa. This is Bhakti Vinoda's solemn declaration.

How to See the Guru:
Mercy
Clear guidance on how to understand who the Guru is, and how a sincere disciple should see the Guru: the Guru is not only a mahabhagavata, he is nondifferent from Krishna Himself..

If any godbrothers get some disrespect from the disciples of the Acharya,
that is also not good for the Acharya.
