Dedication to Service
"By the mercy of Gurudev we are given a tongue to chant the Holy Name, to chant the glories of the Guru and Vaishnavs, but if we criticise others and tell bad things about others, what is then the difference between the mouth and the other gates?"

Dedication to Service (Bengali class + evening kirtans)

Vice of Kali-Yuga
"The Kali-yuga's people are now addicted to ganja, whiskey, smoking—it is a very difficult situation. If you ask the Lord for other things, Krishna will give that to you, but He will withdraw devotion from you. You cannot do what is unfavourable to devotion..."

Thu, 3 March 2016:

Chastity: Disciple's Virtue
"What is mainly necessary is chastity. If Gurudev told me not to go to a temple, how will I go there? Maybe Gurudev said it to me twenty-five years ago, but I will not forget it. I want to follow that instruction until my death."
Download / listen to the audio (2.1 Mb, 6 min | 1 March 2016)

Fri, 4 March 2016:

A Humble Heart
"It is necessary to give honour to others. If you make so many offences, your heart becomes as hard as a thunderbolt, and as a result, kirtan, chanting of the Holy Name will not come to your mouth."

Sat, 5 March 2016: (Sri Vijaya Ekadasi)

Parikrama: Benefit and Benefactor
"When I see some eighty-year-old lady walking before me and faster than me, I get so much energy from them. They get strength through chanting of the Holy name—this is the kind of change that comes. If you chant the Holy Name, the Holy Name will take you."

News From Sri Nabadwip Dham (36 photographs, 3.2 Mb)
As the days pass and draw closer to Sri Gaura Purnima festival, the service activities condense and everybody is happily anticipating the arrival of the family, trying to make all necessary arrangements to serve them. Over a hundred devotees are expected to fly in from the West, and thousands are expected to flock from all over India.

Sri Ekadashi Guidance
Guidelines on how to observe and honour this holy day: Ekadashi takes an indispensible part in the life of a sincere practitioner. At Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math, Ekadashi and paran are observed with affection and without fail according to the dates given in the Calendar.

Sun, 6 March 2016: (Sri Ekadasi paran is at 6:00–9:52 a.m.)
Gift of Service
"Mercy comes through desire. If you have a strongest desire, you will serve your Lord, your Guru, and Krishna, Guru will take your service. But if there comes even a little distance from our service, Maya is always ready: as soon as Maya gets some place, you will be immediately attacked by her."

Mon, 7 March 2016:

Effective Service
"If your mind wants to go somewhere or to do something, it is not service. What Vaishnav tells you, that is service." Do not become a victim of the half hen logic...

From Sri Nabadwip Dham:
Shortly before the sun begins to approach the horizon, the devotees take bath, put on clean clothes and gather at the samadhi-mandirs for the evening arati. After the arati and the parikrama, everyone comes to the temple of Lord Sada Siva Gangadhar and offer their obeisances, prayers and offerings of the Ganges water, milk, etc. and some pranami. Devotees start chanting from 6 p.m. and carry on till sunrise for the pleasure of Sri Guru and Sri Sada Siva, praying for the mercy of the great Vaishnav Thakur.

Wed, 9 March 2016:

Vaisnav Ke? (An Appeal to Your Mind)
"We do not want to stay in the temple because there are so many rules and regulations—everything has to be maintained at a certain time, and if you live alone, nobody will tell you anything, but you will be losing your devotional activities. Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur said that nirjan bhajan is self-deception."

Mon, 14 March 2016:

Courtesy and Affection
"The Lord has at last given us a tongue, and by the mercy of the Lord, Gurudev we have got this Hare Krishna maha-mantra. With this mouth you say, 'You are a disciple of another sannyasi, I do not like you,' but this is not the courtesy, this is not our religion."

Simple. Sincere. Sufficient.
'Srila Prabhupad said, 'Do not read so many books, and do not practise so many things.' Simple books are sufficient. You can recite, sing, and memorise daily songs, and practise every day.'

Sri Sri Prema-Vivarta
“Remember, glorify, and serve the Lord, and be kind to all beings. Do all this as a proper renunciant.”

Gurudev can do everything for you, but our problem is that we cannot
properly, 100%, surrender to our Guru.
