SRI GAUDIYA GITANJALI : SRI ARATI GITI
Sri Tulasi Parikrama Giti
namo namah tulasi maharani,
vrnde maharani namo namah
namo-re namo-re maiya namo narayani
yako darase parase agha-nasa hoi
mahima veda purane vakhani [1]
O Tulasi Maharani, O Vrinda Devi, I offer my obeisance unto you again and
again. O Narayani, I offer my obeisance unto you again and again. By seeing
or touching you, all sins are destroyed. Your glories are sung in the Vedas
and Puranas.
yako patra, manjari komala
sri-pati-charana-kamale lepatani
dhanya tulasi, purana tapa kiye
sri-salagrama-maha-patarani [2]
Your leaves and tender budding flowers twine around your worshippable
husband’s lotus feet. You are so fortunate, O Tulasi! Having performed severe
austerities, you became a renowned spouse of Sri Salagram (Lord Vishnu).
dhupa, dipa, naivedya, arati
phulana kiye varakha varakhani
chhapanna bhoga, chhatrisa byanjana
bina tulasi prabhu eka nahi mani [3]
You shower mercy upon those who offer you incense, lamps, food, worship and
flowers. The Lord does not accept any of fifty-six grain offerings or
thirty-six vegetable offerings without Tulasi leaves.
siva suka narada aura brahmadika
dhudata phirata maha-muni jnani
chandrasekhara maiya tera yasa gaoye
bhakati dana dijiye maharani [4]
Siva, Suka, Narad, Brahma and all other great personalities, sages and
scholars search for pure devotion everywhere. O Mother! O Great Queen, please
bestow this devotion onto Chandrasekhar who is singing your glories.
